We believe the Word of God should be a fundamental part of a student’s education. It augments the study of English, history, geography, and science. Deuteronomy 8:3 says “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” Without knowledge of Biblical truth, a child cannot be considered fully educated. The Bible gives direction for this life and the only hope for the life to come. No other book can so enrich the minds and hearts of students as the Bible.

In addition to the moral and spiritual values resulting from Bible-based learning, specific knowledge of the Bible is one of the greatest educational assets anyone can possess. Students attend daily Bible Class in Kindergarten through 12th Grade. No other course offered at LCA affords greater opportunities for laying the foundation of Christian character.

At LCA we use A Beka Book curriculum for students Pre K – 12th grade.

A Beka Book

Over 40 years ago A Beka Book begin with the mission of providing Christian schools with high-quality textbooks and teaching aids to help each school fulfill its educational goals. The hundreds of traditional educational materials from A Beka Book have been developed and refined over a period of 50 years in the classroom of Pensacola Christian Academy, one of America’s largest and most respected Christian schools. As a result, throughout the nation A Beka is recognized as the standard of excellence in the publishing of textbooks and other scholastic materials.

The A Beka Book approach to education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable. Our materials reflect sensible theory that is firmly anchored to practicality. Skilled researchers do primary research in every subject. Thus our publications are built upon a firm foundation of absolute truth and sound scholarship, and are written by dedicated and talented scholars well grounded in the practical aspects of classroom teaching. For excellence in education you can trust A Beka Book.

Extra-curricular Activities

LCA currently offers girls’ volleyball and basketball, and boys’ basketball to its students. These programs are available to home-schooled and public school students in the area as well. Evaluations will be determined by the coach for each program. Students are expected to uphold the disciplines of the program, as well as, their academics. Students on academic warning or probation will not be able to participate in the program. Any further information regarding eligibility and program requirements will be set forth in your sports material. All authorization and waiver forms must be signed before a student participates.

Lake Christian Academy is proud to offer Archery to our students 4th – 12th grade. Through the disciplines learned in archery, students not only learn a valuable and fun sport, but also gain self-confidence, boost self-esteem, learn to be disciplined, gain better focus, and learn the value of life and how to treat others with that same value. Instructor Darrell Dixon, world-champion archer, hopes that by offering the students of LCA this opportunity of a lifetime it will hopefully bring about some of the next generation of expert archers and Olympic medalists.

Robotics: Elementary My Dear Botson
Our team is part of the FIRST Robotics league and we are in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) division. This division is for kids grades 7 – 12. The main robotics season starts in September with the release of the game for the year. Teams have to design, build, and program a robot that will be able to compete in a game, which changes every year.  The FIRST program teaches children so much more than robots, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.

Our Academy

LCA is more of an academy than a school. We teach different students, different material, differently. Our students are loving and precious children of God. Our curriculum is centered on a World-view Biblical Integration principle, not just a layer of Bible references layered on top of the conventional “3 R’s.” We strive to use the teaching methods Jesus used to teach His disciples, just not as conventional teachers do in an ordinary school.

Our academy is structured in the following levels:

  • The elementary level consists of: K4, K5/ 1st blended class, 2nd/3rd blended class, 4th grade class, 5th/6th blended class.
  • The Junior High/High School Academy, 7th-12th, is a vibrant, fulfilling environment with classes provided by A Beka Academy.
Three Layered Instruction
  • Biblical foundation layer of faith-based belief in Almighty God and His only begotten Son.
  • Strong academic base of the new 3+R’s, relevance, responsibility, and religion.
  • Ethics, Leadership, and Enterprise
